What could be more patriotic than helping clean our beaches after the 4th of July celebration?
Join Grassroots Garbage Gang for our annual July 5th Beach Cleanup as we celebrate 25 years of community stewardship and coastal care.
For a quarter century, volunteers have come together to help protect our beaches, wildlife, and ocean by removing over 553 recorded tons of trash from our coastline. This year, with the 4th of July falling on a Saturday during the 250th Independence Day celebration, we expect one of the largest cleanup efforts yet, and we need all hands on deck!
GREAT BAG HANDOUT – JULY 4TH
Help us reduce litter before it starts! Volunteers will be handing out cleanup bags to beachgoers during the July 4th festivities as a reminder to help pack out trash and care for our coastline. Want to help with the Great Bag Handout or learn more? Contact Rachael at 360-269-4930.

COMMUNITY SOUP & SOURDOUGH SOCIAL - FOLLOWING CLEANUP
Following the cleanup, everyone is invited to gather for a FREE Community Soup & Sourdough Social hosted by DuneSide Trading Co. at 21712 Pacific Way. Come warm up, share stories from the cleanup, celebrate a job well done, and connect with fellow volunteers and community members.
Together, we can help keep our beaches beautiful, protect wildlife, and care for the ocean we all share.

Every July 5th, community members come together for a coordinated beach cleanup effort along the Long Beach Peninsula. Additionally, our Adopt-A-Beach program allows volunteers to regularly maintain and care for specific sections of the coastline they've adopted. There are numerous sections available for adoption, providing ample opportunities for individuals, groups, clubs, and businesses to get involved.
Beach cleanups play a crucial role in preserving the beauty of our shores, ensuring they remain safe and clean for everyone to enjoy; marine life included! By participating in these efforts, you not only contribute to the well-being of our ocean and beaches but also help raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.
